Joy Esler, MAc, AP, Chinese Herbalist, MQT, RYT
NCCAOM Board Certified Diplomate of
Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine
Joy's path to her true self began in 1999 when she started to practice yoga.  After several
years of practicing yoga, she started to teach yoga classes in 2002.
Joy completed her
certification in Discovery, Kripalu, and Pregnancy Yoga in 2003 at
Discovery Yoga, a Kripalu
affiliate, in St. Augustine, Florida.  This training included
yoga philosophy, anatomy and
physiology, and teaching techniques for asanas (postures),
pranayama (breathing exercises),
and meditation.  Joy is a Registered Yoga Teacher
(RYT 200-hours) with the Yoga Alliance.

After experiencing dramatic healing with acupuncture, Joy decided her life's path was to
help people on their own road to health and healing.  Joy competed her Master's Degree in
Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs at the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville, Florida.  In Five Element treatments, health is viewed as the smooth flow of vital energy or "qi" (pronounced "chee").  Qi affects not only our physical body, yet our mind, emotions, and spirit.  The essence of Chinese medicine is that all of these levels need to be balanced and free flowing to achieve total health.  During her education, Joy was also trained in and provided detoxification treatments based on the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) protocol.

Joy then expanded her healing knowledge by studying the eldest Chinese medicine modality - Medical Qigong.  As a Medical Qigong Therapist (MQT 500-hours), Joy is certified with the International Institute of Medical Qigong.  As part of this certification, she studied medical qigong therapy, diagnosis, and treatment of the internal organ diseases.  Joy is currently enrolled in the third of four years for a Doctoral degree in Medical Qigong.

Joy is nationally board certified in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.  She is a Diplomate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).  Joy is licensed through the Florida Department of Health Board of Acupuncture.  She is also licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine as a Practitioner of Oriental Medicine.

Our Logo
Within the center of our lotus is a symbol known as the Wheel of Joy.  This symbol represents the separate yet indivisible three treasures.  The three treasures include the three levels of one's self.  One interpretation of these levels is the body, mind, and spirit.  The lotus is a symbol of rebirth and transition.  Therefore, when we join and bring into balance our body, mind, and spirit, we experience a rebirth and transition within our true self and health.
